Fishing Flies
Welcome to Finney’s Flies. Finney’s quality tied fishing flies have been produced to tried and tested fly tying patterns and used with great success on the rivers, loughs and lakes of Ireland. These fishing flies may, of course, be used on waters anywhere in the world. I produce a range of brassies, bumbles, buzzers, dabblers, diawl bachs, May flies, lures, nymphs, snatchers, salmon flies and wet flies, all of which are available to purchase on this site. Other fly tying patterns are available upon request.
I have extensive experience of fly fishing on a large number of the rivers and lakes of Ireland, from the river Lagan for brown trout to the River Mourne for wild salmon, the Whitewater for sea trout and Irish loughs such as the Erne, Sheelin, Corrib and Conn. My fly tying patterns have been designed to suit rivers and lakes throughout the UK and Ireland, and have proved very successful on Rainbow Trout fisheries such as Eskragh Lough, Islanderry, and Brookhall. They have also been used very successfully on lakes in the UK such as Foremark and the Thorton Reservoir, and still waters like Willington and Fisherwick. Anglers who know me from the game fair exhibitions at Moira and the Loughs Agency have tried and tested my patterns, and feedback on the success of these fishing flies has been very positive from regular users. Anglers in Bristol and Derby have also greeted my new fly patterns with enthusiasm.
My selection of framed Irish fishing flies, such as bumbles, dabblers, may flies, lough flies and salmon flies are custom mounted in boxed frames to show off the flies to their best effect. Framed fishing flies can be custom mounted upon request for any special occasion, together with a personalised message on the rear at no extra cost. I also sell a selection of quality fly tying materials.
